Medimpex was founded more than 60 years ago, in 1949, in order to exclusively implement the  export and import activity  for  the Hungarian pharmaceutical industry  and to meet the import  demands of the Hungarian  Health Service. Medimpex  carried out its activity  up to 1982 as an independent foreign trading company.
At the end of the yeqr 1982 Medimpex became a limited company with the participation of the 6 largest Hungarian pharmaceutical factories (Alkaloida, Biogal,Chinoin, Egis, Reanal, Gedeon Richter) and Pharmatrade Foreign Trading Company.
Following the economic changes at the beginning of the 1990s Medimpex continued its activity as a limited liability company and in 1991 it became a share company with a well-trained staff, working successfully both on the domestic market and in its network acting worldwide through  affiliated companies and offices. From  1996 a significant changes took place in the organisation of the Company.
The parent company established three inland affiliated firms, and the  offices and affiliated companies  working  abroad  got under the direct management of the earlier owners.  The parent company, Medimpex Trading  Close Corporation, became the property of Egis pharmaceutical factory. With this structural change the ownership  structure  was simplified and the activity of the different branches became more effective.
In spite of the several structural changes the same stable and  succesful  management characterized the company as it is today.
In those years Medimpex began to  trade with a wide range of  health products too:  medical equipments,  medical aids, healing cosmetics, vitamine preparations  etc.
We established a modern  warehouse which further  strengthened our extended partner connections.
The basis of our succesful  activity  is also today the export and import trade and the closely related logistic services.
